In celebration of the Saudi Founding Day, His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), Fahad Almubarak, in his name and on behalf of the Bank's staff, congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, as well as the honorable people of Saudi Arabia, on the occasion of this national holiday which pays homage to the sacrifices of fathers and grandfathers, and honors the challenges they faced in order to build a nation whose history spans over more than three centuries.

In his congratulatory address, the governor stated: "Every nation has the right to be proud of its history, and to celebrate and recall it, and the commemoration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's "Founding Day" serves that same purpose as it aims to trace the Kingdom's roots as far back as they reach into history. This holiday demonstrates a high level of care to the kingdom's history, which is a direct extension of its present and future, and which is inspired by the determination of all the imams and kings of the nation who contributed to the various stages of its development and its overgrowing cultural development, progress and prosperity. Founding Day reaches all the way up to the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz during which the country is holding a high standing among other nations, witnessing a complete renaissance, and experiencing a significant development on various levels, especially when it comes to the present and future of mankind, in accordance with the aspirations of Kingdom's Vision 2030."

Almubarak pointed out that commemorating the day on which the first Saudi state was founded is an authentic and natural extension of the keenness and interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz,  in preserving the history of Saudi Arabia first and the history of the Arabian Peninsula second. His Excellency also noted that the commemoration showcases the great levels of care displayed by their royal highness in utilizing only the most reliable and genuine historical sources and references, and their desire to remind the younger generations of their rich and ancient heritage, and of the challenges and difficulties that the Kingdom has gone through and -by Allah's grace- was able to overcome, in order to rejoin the ranks of some of the economically and developmentally advanced countries in the world. Almubarak also drew attention to the fact that the Kindgom's adherence to its tradition did not hinder it from setting an ambitious vision that consistently delivers tangible progress in all kinds of sectors and fields,  making Saudi Arabia a referential experience for nations that seek to emulate the Kingdom's achievements. The Governor of SAMA concluded his statement wishing that the Kingdom may always be protected from all harm and that its safety and security are never compromised, and asking the Divine to always safeguard the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and his Highness the Crown Prince.
