The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) announced the extension of the deadline to apply for the Islamic Finance Research Translation Program aimed at encouraging and advancing scientific research, in addition to leveraging its outcome inside and outside the Kingdom.

SAMA stressed that the program is aimed at consolidating the Kingdom's leading role in the field of Islamic Finance, as well as highlighting SAMA's continued keenness to integrate the research system, thus acknowledging its societal responsibilities and pivotal role in this respect. Additionally, this program contributes towards accomplishing goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 of enhancing the Kingdom's epistemic standing.

Research areas targeted by the program include Islamic Finance, Islamic Banking, Islamic Insurance, Risk Management Banking, Financial Technology "Fintech" in Islamic Finance, Legitimate Governance, as well as other fields related to Islamic Finance. Furthermore, the translation of selected research projects in the program will be done through SAMA in collaboration with a team of skilled translators – the jury will select the top twenty research projects once all translation files are submitted. The top 10 research papers will receive a prize of SAR 10,000, while papers that rank between 20^th and 11^th place will receive a prize of SAR 5,000. The last chance to apply for the program would be on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
