SAMA stresses that banks should not compromise any amount of the cost of living Allowance

The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority "SAMA" reiterated that all banks operating in the Kingdom must not to seize or compromise any amount of the cost of living allowance ordered by the  Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to be extended until the end of 2020.

In its circular to banks, SAMA confirmed that the cost of living allowance must not be affected in any way neither be considered in the financing requests or other financial commitments. In the event of mistakenly deduct any amount of it the amount must be return within 48 hours.

SAMA calls on all banks' customers to exercise their rights that are guaranteed by the system and the issued regulations that in the event of any violation or damage, to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Department through samacares website or by calling the toll-free number (8001256666).
