The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) is to introduce tomorrow a large awareness campaign called "more financial awareness" through its branches across the Kingdom. This campaign targets the largest possible segments of the community by organizing awareness exhibitions within malls. This comes in line with SAMA's abiding efforts to organize awareness and educational campaigns among the public. This is a valuable attempt to raise financial and cognitive awareness among cash traders, increase awareness of the characteristics of the national currency and security signs of the authentic paper, promote positive behavior in dealing with coins categories of currency, encourage its use in daily dealings and develop saving culture. It also aims to educate clients of those financial authorities supervised by SAMA of their rights and responsibilities and to clarify the channels of communication that SAMA has made available to receive complaints and inquiries of consumers and address them by the concerned parties and explain their financial rights which enable them make the correct financial decisions tailored to their needs and obligations.

The five-weeks exhibition encompasses specially designed educational and entertainment sections containing awareness prints, leather wallets for the carrying coins and the launch of a competition through SAMA account on twitter.  It will last throughout the campaign. Winners will be receiving valuable awards from SAMA.

This awareness campaign is part of the financial sector program –part of Kingdom's Vision 2030 programs- which aims at building  an advanced diversified financial sector in order to support the national economy, stimulate saving, financing and investment through the development and deepening of financial sector institutions and to promote and empower financial planning for all segments of society.
