SAMA Launches the Second version of Cyber security program 18

     Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) announced the launch of the second version of cyber security program 18. The program aims to graduate qualified national cyber-security personnel in the financial sector altogether with others sectors. SAMA clarified that Secure 18 program will last for six months and a half between Saudi Arabia and United State, during which trainees are going to obtain a scientific preparation, practical application, visits and attending discussion in the field of cyber security at the hand of international cyber security experts, who are working at big companies such as SecureNinja, PGI, SANS, Chiron and other specialized training companies.

    SAMA invites interested graduates of all disciplines of computer and information technology  departments from accredited universities of Saudi Arabia, Arab and other foreign universities to register through the website careers.sama.gov.sa . Noting that the acceptance process in the program goes through several stages to evaluate the candidates in order to determine 26 trainees to embark on this unique journey to acquire distinctive skills that contributes to consolidate cyber-security inside the Kingdom. The 18 Secure program is totally sponsored by Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).  It is noteworthy that on 21 of January, SAMA celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the program Secure 17 with the participation of 19 students who had undergone intensive training lasted for more than six months between Saudi Arabia, United State of America and United Kingdom. Graduates of the first batch were recruited by variety of parties including SAMA, Ministry of Finance, General Authority of Zakat and Tax, General Authority of Statistics and Saudi Customs, in addition to the banking sectors.
