The Governor of SAMA, Dr. Ahmed A. Alkholifey, congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the occasion of the 88th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which came this year on 13 Muharram 1440H (23 September 2018).
Dr. Alkholifey indicated that since the era of King Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been under a wise leadership aiming to serve Islam and Muslims and achieve prosperity for the country. He also pointed out the security and stability the Kingdom enjoys and its position in the Islamic world as it has the two holiest Islamic cities, Makkah and Al-Madinah.
In addition, he explained the importance of approving the Financial Sector Development Program (FSDP) at the beginning of 2018 by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs. The program is aimed at developing a diversified and effective financial sector to support the development of the national economy, stimulate savings, finance and investment, and increase the efficiency of the financial sector to be able to face and address challenges.
Moreover, he stressed that SAMA works with the Ministry of Finance and the Capital Market Authority (CMA) to accelerate steps towards achieving the FSDP's objectives in order to make the sector able to enhance the fundamentals of the economy and fulfill requirements of the Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
Dr. Alkholifey concluded his speech saying, "We ask Allah Almighty to grant victory to our armed forces and to keep His countless blessings on our country. We also ask Him to guide us to serve Islam and Muslims and satisfy the aspirations of our leaders and Saudi citizens in our beloved Kingdom."
