Referring to what has been circled on the social media about SAMA allowing banking agents to appoint licensed entities to practice business activities in order to expand banking services and products to reach all society's members.
On this regard, SAMA would like to point out that what has been reported about banking agents' initiative has not been approved yet, though it was published on the ruling project draft on the link: http://www.sama.gov.sa/ar-sa/Laws/Pages/Banking.aspx. This is to explore views and observations of the public in order to boost the principle of transparency and participation, noting that all views and observations will be studied for the purpose of finalizing these rules.
Therefore, SAMA invites the public and interested parties to submit their observations and views on the project through the email: CPDF@SAMA.GOV.SA before 30 Safer 1440H corresponding to 10 November 2018.
