Saudi Arabian monetary authority (SAMA) decided to increase the percentage of the maximum amount of residential finance mentioned in article (12) of the executive regulation of the residential financing system from 85% to 90%. This increase in the ratio of loan to the value of the first housing for citizens will contribute to the growth of the residential financing sector and to achieve integration with the national housing goals embodied in the kingdom's vision 2030, without prejudice to the requirements of banking sector safety or financial stability. This should enable banking sector and financing companies to increase funding to serve citizen and meet the needs of the market.
