Under the patronage of H.E. the Governor Fahad Almubarak, the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) will host the 2nd Annual Central Bank Conference on Development Economics in the Middle East and North Africa. The event will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on January 31, 2023 and February 1, 2023.

The theme of the conference this year will be "Inflation Dynamics during Uncertain Times: the path toward stable and sustainable recovery". Governors of participating central banks and the World Bank Vice President for Middle East and North Africa, Ferid Belhaj, will attend the conference. In addition, World Bank experts and senior economic researchers from various central banks, universities as well as international and local research centers will also participate in the conference this year.

The organization of the conference comes as part of SAMA's ongoing efforts to support research in the fields of economics, finance and development. Moreover, this aligns with SAMA's keenness to always promote cooperation and communication with researchers and economists locally and internationally.

The conference will present the latest important economic research and will discuss their suggested economic policies with the aim of enhancing economic growth and stability.
