Saudi Central Bank Launches its Professional Learning Program

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) launched its Professional Learning Program (PLP) in support of the financial services industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by investing in national cadres for the future.

The program is geared to select Bachelor's or master's degree holder for both male and female graduates of Saudi universities and accredited international universities, in order to equip them with skills and knowledge. By offering the opportunity to train at one of SAMA departments. 

According to SAMA, the PLP is delivered via various learning methodologies to equip trainees with practical and cognitive skills to boost their employment opportunities, whether at SAMA or elsewhere within the financial sector.   The PLP uses a blended dynamic learning approach consisting of rotations in the relevant department, interactive classroom learning, ongoing evaluation and feedback, hands-on behavioral and technical coaching and team projects. Upon completion, presentations will be held showcasing the trainees experience and various professional certificates will be delivered.

SAMA explained that PLP is carried over the course of six months. Trainees will be provided with an attractive benefits and incentives package throughout the duration of the program. SAMA invites interested individuals to apply to the program through it's (website). The registration period runs from September 15 until October 1, 2022. Acceptance into the program will be based on a selective screening process, including a personal interview and a presentation by the candidate at SAMA's Riyadh headquarters. All applicants must be Saudi nationals. Candidates must be recent recipients of a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field from an accredited Saudi or international university (graduates less than two years ago); a minimal grade point average of "very good" or equivalent; and a proficient level of spoken and written English.
