The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) announces the launch of its specialized program, the Professional Learning Partnership, in support of the financial services industry in the Kingdom.

The program targets recent Saudi accounting or finance graduates of accredited local or international universities. The program aims at equipping graduates with practical skills and knowledge to boost their professional opportunities in the banking industry.   It will consist of a dynamic blended learning approach including: Rotations in the Banking Control Department (covering the Licensing, Policy and Supervision units); interactive classroom learning; hands-on behavioral and technical coaching; site visits; on-going evaluation & feedback; banking certifications and a team project and presentation.

SAMA clarified that the program will last for seven months beginning in March 2020. Trainees will be provided with an attractive compensation and benefits package throughout the duration of the program.

Acceptance into the program will be highly selective. SAMA invites interested individuals to apply to the program through SAMA webpage via Link. The registration period runs from December 29, 2019 until January 16, 2020. 

SAMA stipulated that the applicant’s basic requirements are the following: Saudi national; candidates must commit to completing the program; recent recipients of a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from an accredited Saudi or international university; maximum 3-year’s work experience; maximum 26 years of age; a minimal grade point average of “very good” or equivalent; and a proficient level of English language.

The selection process consists of several steps.  Candidates advancing to the next steps will be notified of such as the process unfolds. The last step of the process will entail an on-site interview and presentation at SAMA’s Riyadh headquarters.
