Visit of Dr. Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of England to SAMA

On 16^th February, 2015, Dr. Fahad A. Almubarak, Governor of SAMA, met in Riyadh, His Excellency Dr. Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of England & Head of the Global Financial Stability Board. They discussed a number of issues of common interest ,including ways to enhance cooperation between the two parties, and how to advance the international priorities of the FSB and the G20. Dr. Almubarak held a luncheon in honor of Dr. Carney, which was attended by H.E. Mr. Simon Collis Britain's Ambassador to the K.S.A., and Chairmen of bank boards and CEOs, a group of economists and academics.

Dr. Almubarak accompanied Dr. Carney throughout his visit, which also included meetings with the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, and the Minister of Planning, Dr. Mohammad Al-Jassir, as well as visiting King Abdullah Financial City (KAFC) and meetings with researchers at King Abdullah Petroleum Studies & Research Center (KAPSARC).
