Instructions for Working Hours During the Official Holidays


  • Working hours of banks dealing with clients during the Holy month of Ramadan shall be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Working hours of banks’ remittance centers and payment service providers during the Holly month of Ramadan shall be (6) working hours (flexible hours), starting from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  • Banks’ branches, money exchange centers, payment service providers, and the seasonal branches, which receive pilgrims by air and sea, and holy sites in Makkah and Madinah, and border crossings must remain open continuously during Hajj season, in addition to Fridays and Saturdays to serve all pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors.

  • Banks, money exchange centers, and payment service providers must open several branches, in addition to a number of branches, in populated residential areas, as well as in other locations where necessary, and at airports and different border crossings during specified periods of the holidays. The names and working hours of these branches must be announced to the public through appropriate means.​

  • Working hours of the Saudi Arabian Riyal Interbank Express System’s (RTGS) during the Holy month of Ramadan shall be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., noting that clearing houses shall operate in accordance with the RTGS system's operation days and working hours.​
