Referring to the Royal Decree No. (A / 86) dated 04/18/1439 AH, which included the payment of a monthly as a cost of living allowance amounted one thousand riyals to citizens of civil and military employees for a period of one year, and a monthly cost of living allowance of five hundred riyals for the retirees for a year. In accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may God preserve him to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) to instruct banks not to prejudice the cost of living allowances and the reward that was issued by his honorable command. Thus, it is not allowed to deduct any amount from these allowances and the reward in favor of the banks in return for the payment of personal loans and other financing obligations.
SAMA affirms that all banks must implement the noble directives and avoid affecting the beneficiaries 'allowances and the bonus referred to above when applying the periodic deductions. In the event of possible wrong deduction, banks must return the deducted sums within a maximum period of 48 hours.
