SAMA ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING LIFTING THE SUSPENSION OF MALATH COOPERATIVE INSURANCE COMPANY

            Further to the announcement of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) on 11/27/1438 AH corresponding to 08/19/2017 AD, which included preventing Malath Cooperative Insurance Company from accepting compulsory vehicle insurance subscribers, and thus preventing it from issuing or renewing any compulsory vehicle insurance policy as of 11/28 / 1438 AH corresponding to 08/20/2017 AD.

 

            SAMA announces that it has decided to allow Malath Cooperative Insurance Company to accept new subscribers in compulsory vehicle insurance, and thus allow it to issue and renew compulsory vehicle insurance documents as of Monday 02/17/1439 AH corresponding to 11/06/2017. This followed the company handling the observations by SAMA and its commitment to the standards and requirements that guarantee the rights of customers and beneficiaries of insurance coverage and without prejudice to pricing through the continuous development of the internal audit system, compliance management and the company's internal control procedures. It affirmed its commitment to continue implementing the corrective measures based on the company.

 

            SAMA calls on all the insured and the beneficiaries of the insurance to adhere to their rights at all times and to review the company in this regard, and in the event that the company does not respond; SAMA urges filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Department through the institution's website or by calling the toll-free number 8001256666.
