On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) concluded under the chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Ayman Al-Sayari, Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) and Chair of the IFSB. The meetings were hosted by SAMA for three days in Riyadh and were attended by central bank governors, IFSB council members, and experts in the Islamic financial services industry.

The discussions during the meetings were focused on recent developments in the Islamic finance sector and various approaches to strengthen its resilience and stability.  

The 42nd Meeting of the Council and the 21st General Assembly were held on the concluding day in the presence of Governors and Council members.

Several events, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the founding of the IFSB, were organized on the sidelines of the annual meetings including Capacity Building workshop for the banking sector.
