Ayman Al-Sayari, Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), met at SAMA's headquarter in Riyadh on Monday 24 July 2023, with Sheikh Bandar Al-Thani, Governor of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments in the financial and banking sectors and ways to develop bilateral relations between the two central banks.

A high-level discussion session was held, during which several presentations delivered in multiple areas including monetary policy, reserve management, digitalization and innovation, anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT).

Both parties affirmed their support for the development of bilateral relations and the exchange of knowledge and expertise to contribute to the stability and development in the financial sectors in the two countries. ​
