His Excellency Dr. Khaled Al-Dhaher, vice governor of Supervision and Technology at the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), expressed his utmost gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and to His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the trust that they have placed in him represented in the issuance of the royal decree appointing him as the Vice Governor of Supervision and Technology at the Saudi Central Bank with the rank of Excellence. Mr. Al-Dhaher took the occasion to address words of genuine appreciation for this trust placed in him by the Kingdom's wise leadership, asking Allah to always keep him on the right path and support his efforts to serve his religions, his king and his country and to realize the ambitious goals and objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
It is worth noting that Dr. Khaled Al-Dhaher earned Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He also earned his Doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering from Illinois State University in the United States. Aside from his academic merits, Dr. Al-Dhaher has a long 'hands-on' experience in leadership spanning over 30 years in the fields of technology and financial management, as he was the head of the global IT consultancy company 'Accenture' in the kingdom. He also assumed leadership positions in various companies in the Kingdom and the Middle East such as Microsoft, where he last served as the General Director of the Business Solutions Department at Microsoft MENA, overseeing a team operating in over 70 countries, determining and implementing the company's business applications strategy in the MENA region, and strengthening cooperative efforts and facilitating coordination with Saudi governmental institutions, to leverage the advantages of ICT towards the provision of better services. The newly-appointed Vice-Governor of Supervision and Technology also worked at Oracle as a Director of the departments of Business Applications and Financial and Banking Solutions and Services, where he set himself to establishing close strategic partnerships with clients from both the public and private sectors, focused on helping them take advantage of the digital transformation process and of information technology, and played a key role in identifying and managing strategic opportunities while minimizing their inherent risks. Dr. Al-Dhaher also occupied the position of CEO of Hewlett-Packard, growing the company's market value in the Kingdom enough to make it one of the best companies in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Aside from his academic and professional achievements, the new Vice Governor of Supervision and Technology was also a member in many committees and boards of directors.
