His Excellency Dr. Fahad bin Abdallah Al-Mubarak, Governor of the Saudi Central Bank "SAMA" has extended his utmost expressions of thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Highness King Salman bin Abdulaziz, for the royal trust he was given after being appointed as Governor of the Central Bank by Royal Decree. The governor wished that this appointment would divinely inspire him to give more effort in the service of his precious homeland, seek after greater achievements that could further raise the Kingdom's global economic profile and move forward with the Kingdom's ambitious Vision 2030.
It is reported that H.E. Dr. Al-Mubarak served as the Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (Saudi Central Bank) from 2011 to 2016. H.E. holds a Ph.D. in business administration in the field of operation and production from the University of Houston in the United States, a master's degree in industrial engineering, a master's degree in financial accounting and taxation, a master's degree in business administration, as well as a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from SMU in Dallas.
Al-Mubarak held a number of positions in the state, serving as Minister of State and Cabinet member from December 2018 until January 2021, and as Secretary-General of the Saudi Secretariat of the G-20. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Financial Market "Tadawul" from 2003 to 2011, an assigned member of the Saudi company Morgan Stanley from 2005 to 2011, and a member of the Consultative Assembly from 1999 to 2005. He was also appointed General Manager of Rana Investment from 1992 to1999, and he served on the boards of a myriad of large companies.
