The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) has directed all financial institutions fall under its supervision to gradually return to business. Thus, all work in public administrations should be resumed in their natural form, with an emphasis on equipping work sites according to the controls and instructions issued as preventive measures to ensure that workers return to conduct their office work in a safe work environment.
This step comes in implementation of the generous approval issued on 10/3/1441 AH corresponding to 5/26/2020 AD, which includes a number of decisions, including lifting the suspension of attendance for ministries, government agencies and the private sector, and returning to practice their office activities in accordance with the controls set by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in coordination With the Ministry of Health and the relevant authorities, starting from Sunday 10/8/1441 AH corresponding to 5/31/2020 AD, until the end of Saturday 10/28/1441 AH corresponding to 06/20/2020 AD. This is to return to normal life conditions in all regions and cities of the Kingdom as before the curfew, except for the city of Makkah. with full compliance with health and preventive instructions and social distancing.
SAMA affirmed that the financial institutions should operate all of their branches according to the normal working times specified before the curfew procedures period, starting on Sunday 10/8/1441 AH corresponding to 5/31/2020 AD. This is with the necessity to adhere to the necessary precautionary measures set by the Ministry of Health in the Preventive Guide for Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the workplace and to continue awareness campaigns that aim to urge customers to use electronic channels, as well as setting a maximum number of customers who are served at one time. Moreover, it is necessary to take into account the sufficient space for separation between employees in the workplace, as well as between employees and customers. In addition, the establishment should constantly sterilize the workplace , branches and automated teller machines, and taking the highest safety standards to ensure the safety of the visitors. This includes providing screening points at the entrances to measure the temperature of employees and customers, providing the necessary sterilizers and masks, while providing their employees with all necessary preventive precautions.
