Subject: Working Hours During Eid Al-Adha Holiday for the Year 1433H.

Pursuant to Article 16 of the Banking Control Law concerning determination of holidays and working hours of banks, SAMA calls on banks to comply with the following:

First: Eid Al-Adha holiday for the year 1433H for banks and their branches operating in the Kingdom starts at the end of the business day, Wednesday 8/12/1433H (24/10/2012) up to Wednesday 15/12/1433H (31/10/2012) (according to Umm Al-Qura  Calendar). Banks will resume their works on Saturday 18/12/1433H (3/11/2012).

Second: The working hours for SARIE System during Eid Al-Adha holiday will close at the end of the business day, Wednesday 8/12/1433H (24/10/2012). SARIE will resume its operations on Tuesday14/12/1433H (30/10/2012). Its daily working hours will be from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., and clearing houses will be operating during the working days of SARIE.

Third: All banks� offices and seasonal branches in the two cities of pilgrims coming by air and sea, sacred places in Makkah and Medinah, and border outlets shall remain working continuously during the Hajj season, including Thursdays and Fridays, for serving performers of Hajj and Umrah and visitors.

Fourth: SAMA highlights for banks the importance of operating a number of their branches in populous and crowded areas, and places where the need arises to deal with banks, and in various airports and border outlets to work during the Eid Al-Adha holiday. We hope that names and working hours of such branches be informed to SAMA and published to the public by appropriate means.
