With reference to rumors in some media and social network websites that SAMA has made a circular to banks to stop dealing with the 1 Riyal banknote and substitute it with 1 Riyal coin, SAMA would like to stress that these rumors are groundless, and dealing with the 1 Riyal banknote and coin is still going on, along with the other denominations.
