 SAMA's Governor Inaugurates the Third Saudi Insurance Symposium Tomorrow Organized by the "General Committee of Insurance Companies"

 

Under the auspices of the Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency Dr. Fahad Abdullah Al-Mubarak, the third Saudi Insurance Symposium entitled "The Present and Future" organized by the General Committee of Insurance Companies will be held at Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski in Riyadh for two days starting Wednesday 29 April, 2015. The symposium will be attended by a large number of experts, interested parties and leaders in insurance in the Kingdom, Gulf countries as well as globally. A number of heads of insurance companies operating in the Kingdom will participate, along with some relevant government entities such as the General Directorate of Traffic and General Administration of Civil Defense.

The third Saudi Insurance Symposium aims to provide solutions to major challenges facing the insurance sector in the Kingdom; setting clear plans to address such challenges, achieve further development, maintain stability and support sector growth, commensurate with the status of the insurance sector to benefit from the strength and soundness of the Saudi economy. It also aims at formulating a new vision for the future of insurance to contribute to the development and stability of the economy. The third Saudi Insurance Symposium is the largest forum for Insurance companies operating in the Saudi Arabia and the largest insurance forum in the Arabian Gulf.

The symposium will discuss different topics in morning and afternoon sessions during the two day symposium. The first day of the symposium will cover the current condition of medical, property and casualty, motor vehicle and protection and savings insurance. Four discussion sessions will be held in the second day of the symposium, addressing the future of reinsurance in the Saudi market, mergers and acquisitions, insurance E-Business solutions as well as training and awareness in the insurance sector.
